Halloween DIY #1 - Easy Cat Makeup

Hello!

Today I wanted to try an easy go-to Halloween makeup look. A cat. It's ideal for a last minute party or if you're on a budget. I would pair this with messy hair, which I create using salt spray, back combing and maybe some dry shampoo. Plus a black outfit, or to jazz it up you could add some leopard print!

I did my base like normal then did my eyebrows roughly, it doesn't matter if they are messy. I then used loads of bronzer just to warm up my face and add some colour. For my eyes I used a liquid eyeliner, and mascara. I bought the eyeliner down in the inner corners to elongate them even further. 

The rest of the look was done with pencil eyeliner. I did a major boo boo by drawing my spots first,as I later smudged them... I'll know for next time. For my bottom lip I used a pink lipstick to add colour.

Pair it with some ears of your choice and voilà!

Real Techniques Bold Metals Brushes

Hi, 

I bet you've all heard about the new Real Techniques Bold Metals and like the rest of you I fell in love. Here I have the (left) 301 flat contour brush and (right) the 200 oval shadow brush.

First of all I just want to clear up my thoughts on the price. I have only ever bought high street make up brushes and was very thrown aback by the price when I first saw it. However after owning these and feeling them, I completely understand why. I also understand that from the business point of view this is their 'luxury line', not their affordable line.

The flat contour brush had mixed reviews when I had a look on YouTube but I loved the look and definition so much I just had to try it. I think this is a really good and dense brush for the contouring areas, especially for me as I only really concentrate on my cheekbones. It picks up and applies a lot of colour but it also does a good job of blending it all out too. I have used this on an every day basis since purchasing this and it makes my routine a lot quicker as I'm only using one brush for the job.

My eyes are probably my favourite part of my make up so I just had to have an eye related brush from the bold metals line. I use this to pack on a base colour or a bold colour, but it also fits well in my crease. I use this a lot and I absolutely love it, it is soft and doesn't drag on my skin.

If you're thinking of taking the plunge, do it.

What I've Been Up To - September 2015

Hi, 

I love reading blogs and watching YouTube accounts over viewing what they've been up to. So I thought I'd give it a go myself.

On the 4th of September my Dad and I spent the day shopping in Brighton. I had a handful of things I was yet to buy before uni and Brighton always has the best range to pick from. We ended up in wagamamas for dinner, which is always a good choice.

September for me was a lot of goodbyes and new beginnings. I was off to uni. My moving day was the 12th, knowing this I spent the first couple of weeks hanging around with those I knew I would miss.

Then the days all get a bit muddled but since I've been in Bournemouth. But I have fallen in love with the sea, all over again.

I also feel like I have very quickly learnt to appreciate the little things in life. Whether it's cooking myself a meal, getting treated to my favourite flowers or just simply having some company.

Beauty On A Budget #1

Hi,

Anyway if you've ever been on the blogging world you would have heard of the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (£4.99). To set the line straight its a sponge in a bottle soaked in nail polish remover, which has a 'nourishing sweet almond oil' and a 'red fruit and vanilla fragrance'. This is great. I was very adamant to spend five pounds on a nail polish remover but I love it. Its so handy and makes your fingers feel and smell great after! 

However a few months ago I was in Primark and I was desperate to check out their new P.S. Love line. When I was at the beauty section I noticed this 'P.S. Love Your Nails Nail Polish Twist Pot'. This is the same thing, minus the smell and oil. But for one or maybe two pounds this does just the trick, It still take your polish off super quick and is the same size so great for travelling. It is definitely a dupe and a great one at half the price!

I'm a Uni Student!

Hey!

So you've probably wondering what I've been up to. It's been a while, again. As you can probably guess from the title, I am now a uni student, studying BA (hons) Commercial Photography at Arts University Bournemouth. 

The university is approximately 3.4 hours from I live, so it's not too bad. I have nothing much too add as I've only been enrolled for 2 weeks so far, the majority being inductions.

Bournemouth is absolutely lovely. When choosing my choice for uni I new I wanted to be near a beach, which I think I did a pretty good job of.

I wasn't worried about too much when coming to uni, but cooking was no. 1. I think I've done a pretty good job so far. Still basic, but I'm okay with that!

So far so good. I hope everyone else starting university is settling in well to!
